What to Expect at Baby Blossoms
Initial Evaluation Process
Your journey with Baby Blossoms begins with a gentle, comprehensive 60 minute initial evaluation in the comfort of your home. During this unhurried session, I take a holistic, whole-body approach—carefully observing your baby’s movement patterns, posture, strength, and preferences while listening to your concerns and goals as a parent.
I view every detail as part of your baby’s unique story, assessing not only areas like neck mobility, head shape, and tummy time tolerance, but also how these connect to overall comfort, feeding, and developmental readiness. The evaluation is calm, play-based, and encouraging, designed to help your baby feel safe and supported while giving you clear insights and practical strategies you can start using right away.
By the end of the session, you’ll receive a personalized plan tailored to your baby’s needs, along with the confidence and tools to support their progress at home.
Do I need a referral? In Tennessee, you get direct access To Physical Therapy. Your child does not need a doctor's referral or prescription to start treatment.
Treatment Frequency & Duration
At Baby Blossoms Physical Therapy, the frequency and duration of treatment are highly personalized and determined following a thorough initial assessment. Every baby’s needs are unique, so I create a custom plan based on your little one’s specific challenges, progress, and family goals.
My approach isn’t just about checking physical markers—it’s about nurturing your baby’s overall well-being and helping them feel at home in their body. Some infants benefit from short-term, targeted sessions, while others thrive with more consistent support over several weeks or months. Sessions are typically 60 minutes and are adjusted throughout the process as your baby grows and responds to care.
The goal is always to provide the right amount of gentle, effective support—never too much, never too little—so your baby can move with greater ease, comfort, and joy while building a strong foundation for all future milestones.
You’ll receive clear guidance, home strategies, and regular check-ins so you feel confident and empowered every step of the way.
Home Program Guidance for Parents
You are the most important part of your baby’s care. That’s why I place strong emphasis on empowering you with a personalized home program tailored specifically to your baby’s needs.
My approach isn’t just about the physical markers—it’s about nurturing your baby’s overall well-being and helping them feel at home in their body. After each session, you’ll receive simple, practical daily strategies and gentle activities that easily fit into your routine. These tools are designed to support your baby’s progress between visits, reinforce the work we do together, and help build lasting strength, mobility, and confidence.
The goal is to give you the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools so you feel capable and connected as you support your little one’s natural development in the comfort of your own home.
Wellness Sessions
A wellness session is for typically developing babies from birth to 2 years of age who don't need ongoing therapy, but whose parents want a skilled set of eyes on movement, comfort, and development. Together, we look at how your child uses their body: head and neck position, rolling and sitting, tummy time, crawling and walking patterns, tightness or preference to one side, feeding and oral motor comfort, and how they play. You get hands on coaching you can use at home the same day- positioning, play ideas that actually match their age, and what equiment helps versus what can get in the way.
Wellness sessions are a good fit if you want to:
Check in on milestones and movement quality
Prevent or catch early signs of torticollis, flat spots or tightness
Learn tummy time and play that your baby will actually tolerate
Feel confident about what to do next, instead of guessing
Sessions are one-on-one, unhurried, and built around your family. You are part of every minute. The goal is not more appointments. The goal is a baby who moves freely and a parent who feels equipped. This is not a substitute for a full physical therapy evaluation when there is a known delay, injury, or medical concern. It is a skilled guidance so your child can grow balanced, comfortable movement- and so you can enjoy the season you're in.
